I consider this to be a very good thing. I won't pitch the series at this point, but for those that are fans here's the art.
Generally speaking I do recommend Faith Erin Hicks' LJ which has samples from a nice mix of her work. Here's a mix of her comics. Her current online strip is Super Hero Girl which tells the story of an up and coming young superhero working off a grant from the Canadian government. It manages to be unusually true to life in some ways without sinking into dark depths of angst.
